Supporting local veterans

The donation was made at the Edwin Switzer Memorial, Branch #78, of the Royal Canadian Legion on Nov. 12.
The McCord family, along with Ms. Bowyer’s Grade 6,7,8 French Immersion class at Sacred Heart School, painted over 100 rocks featuring a poppy design. The McCords sold the Remembrance Day themed rocks around town last week for donations to the poppy fund.
“We are feeling very proud of the donation we were able to make to the Legion Poppy Fund on behalf of our community,” Nancy McCord shared, adding, “Thank you to everyone for your support and we look forward to doing the same thing again next year. It has become a tradition our family looks forward to each year!”
