Marion Elizabeth Serson

April 28, 1943 - July 7, 2026

Marion Elizabeth Serson passed away July 7, 2026 at the Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Marion is predeceased by her parents Chester and Lydia Carlbom, her husband William Serson and her son Clifford Serson. Marion is survived by her sons Earl, Scott (Irene), her daughter Andrea Black (Rick), as well as her grandchildren Katelyn, Johanna, Erika, Jessica, Billy, Liam and Lola. Marion was born in Sioux Lookout April 28, 1943. She has 4 Sisters; Corrine, Margaret, Emily and Jackie. In her early days Marion assisted with the family business, The Pelican Lake Ice Company, supplying ice to businesses, homes and passenger trains. She married Bill in 1961 and they began building a life together having 4 children, Earl, Clifford, Andrea and Scott. She cut and styled hair at her salon, followed by a long career at the Zone Hospital. Marion always showed up for her family, contributing to all family occasions. Marion had a love of travel, whether it was camping or the world. After Bill passed away in 2005, Marion became a devoted member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she volunteered extensively; cooking meals, desserts, helping with events and serving as their secretary. Marion’s family would like to extend gratitude to Dr Elliot for his diligent and compassionate care of our mother, sister and grandmother.
