Strategic plan requires community involvement
A completed strategic plan for Sioux Lookout was delivered to council in late January and some people think more action is required for it to be effective.

The Stranger Lake dump, opened for people with cottages on Stranger and Kimmewin lakes, is being abused and people dumping garbage outside the gates with reckless abandon are creating quite the eyesore.

Len Maskerine retired on Mar. 20 after serving as Sioux Lookout’s Fire Chief for 10 years and now the municipality is reviewing the fire chief’s role and responsibilities.
Turn of the century bottle piques interest
Bill Turner holds a bottle he found at a Sioux Lookout construction site. The bottle dates back to 1905 or earlier and has Lew Smith, CEO of the E.D. Smith company and E.D.’s great-grandson, very intrigued.
