Sioux Lookout’s 43rd Blueberry Festival right around the corner

Running from August 1 – 10, Sioux Lookout’s 43rd Blueberry Festival will feature more than 100 events.
Old favourites returning for another year include Blueberry Bert’s Birthday Party, The Sioux Mountain Music Festival, Rotary Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, Blueberry golf tournaments, Slate Falls Air Floatplane Rides, and the Blueberry Bocce Tournament.
New this year will be a cornhole tournament presented by The Sioux Lookout Bombers as well as a badminton tournament presented by the Municipality of Sioux Lookout. The Sioux Lookout Renaissance Fair will be back for its second year.

The printed schedule of events is expected to be available soon.
Festival t-shirts, available in crew-neck and V-neck, are available at the Travel Information Centre, which in addition to its regular hours of operation, will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday during the festival.
“It’s going to be exciting!” shared Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival President Dori Hopko.
“It’s great to see new events, new and old faces and just to see the camaraderie within the community.,” she said, adding the Blueberry Festival also presents local groups and organizations a terrific opportunity to fundraise.
