Sioux Lookout resident facing multiple charges following Lac Seul Police Service investigation

A 23-year-old Sioux Lookout resident is facing multiple charges after Lac Seul Police Service (LSPS) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver travelling around the community of Lac Seul First Nation on the evening of May 22.
Police located a suspect vehicle on the side of the roadway on Lac Seul Road.
Police say they approached the driver-side of the vehicle and found the driver passed out in the vehicle. “The driver, a 23-year-old female was unresponsive but wakened by Police where she showed visible signs of impairment. (A) Standard Field Sobriety Testing demand was read to the female who was subsequently transported to The Lac Seul Police Service Detachment. Once the test was conducted, the female was arrested for Adult Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and or Drugs,” LSPS shared.
Police say that during the investigation, a quantity of drugs suspected to be Methamphetamine were found in the suspect’s possession along with drug paraphernalia and over $1,700 in Canadian cash.
The 23-year-old Sioux Lookout resident was further charged with Possession of Drugs for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine.
The accused was later released on a Release Order to appear in Sioux Lookout court on June 24th, 2025.
Police continue to investigate.
