Sioux Lookout OPP investigating residential structure fire 

The Sioux Lookout Detachment has charged one individual following an investigation into a residential structure fire on Front Street in Sioux Lookout.
On September 19, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., members of the Sioux Lookout OPP, and Sioux Lookout Fire Services responded to a report of a structure fire. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, officers obtained and reviewed surveillance footage from the surrounding area. Investigators identified a suspect observed leaving the residence shortly before the fire was discovered. The individual was subsequently located, arrested, and charged in connection with the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing and members of the public are encouraged to contact police if they have any information that may assist investigators. Officers are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the area of Front Street during the morning of September 19, 2026, or anyone who may possess security cameras, dash cameras, or cell phone footage relevant to the investigation.
