Bocce champions crowned

Twenty-five teams took part in the 35th annual Blueberry Festival Bocce Tournament, held on Aug. 2 at the Bocce Courts during this year’s Blueberry Festival.
Event coordinator Joe Carbone said the event was a resounding success. 
The 2026 Champions were the 807 Ballers, which included Steve Winsor, Jennifer Thomas, Erica Ogilive, and Steve Rattai, who defeated the fashionably costumed team Bocce Balboa, which included Jason Grift, Isabelle Bennett, Ben Martin, and Bradyn Edwards. 
Carbone said the final score of 15-9 was no indication of how tensely fought the championship game was.
