Lac Seul Police Service and Community Members Unite for Every Child Matters Walk for Reconciliation
Lac Seul First Nation — September 29, 2026, 10:00 a.m. Members of the Lac Seul Police Service joined students, staff, and community members from Lac Seul First Nation for the annual Every Child Matters Walk for Reconciliation.
Despite the rain, the walk was strongly attended, demonstrating the community’s ongoing commitment to honouring residential school survivors and supporting continued healing. Participants walked together from the community to Frenchman’s Head Elementary School, where the event concluded with reflection and connection.
This walk represents not an end, but a continued step forward in raising awareness. strengthening relationships, and supporting recovery efforts for survivors and families across Lac Seul First Nation.
The Lac Seul Police Service extends sincere thanks to all community members, students, staff, and partners who participated and contributed to this important event — because Every Child Matters.
