Lac Seul Police Service Shares Message on the Dangers of Social Media with the Pelican Falls First Nations High School Students
Pelican Falls First Nations High School welcomed the Lac Seul Police Service on Friday, September 18, 2026, for a schoolwide presentation addressing the dangers of social media and the impacts of cyberbullying. The session was delivered by Social Navigator Dave Scott, who met with all students and staff throughout the morning.
The presentation focused on practical strategies to avoid, respond to, and report cyberbullying, as well as the serious risks associated with sending or receiving intimate images. Students were provided guidance on recognizing online scams, protecting personal information, and navigating harmful online interactions.
The session was well received. Students were actively engaged, participated in discussions, and asked thoughtful questions at the conclusion of the presentation.
The Lac Seul Police Service extends its appreciation to Principal Mr. Head and Vice Principal Mr. Hunter for their invitation and continued commitment to promoting safety programming for their students.
