Thank you Superheroes!
On Friday March 15th, the Sioux Lookout Public Library held its annual Superhero Party. This event allows us to dress up like superheroes while celebrating our own local heroes! Over 200 people attended the party, including some dressed as firemen, princesses, Wonder Woman, Batman and even police officers. The kids had the chance to colour, learn how to make paper airplanes, check out medical equipment, try on OPP uniforms, handcuffs, and even explore an OPP truck. They also learned important lessons, like how to climb through a burning building and what kind of gear a firefighter wears. A highlight for our little patrons included testing out some heavy equipment with our local fire chief and staff, as well as hearing all of the sirens from the emergency vehicles! We were so proud to host this event in honour of our local Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Municipal Fire Department, and Sky Care heroes and thank them for their hard work! See you again next year!
