The Sioux Lookout Bombers will host their first major event on August 13 when 22 teams of four will participate in a Texas Scramble fundraising golf tournament at the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club.
Morgan Fuels has signed on to be the title sponsor for the Bombers Golf Classic. President, Darrell Morgan said, “After the last year, it’s great that Morgan Fuels has an opportunity to support a tournament like this. Not only are we able to help put on a great event for the community, but help the Bombers as they prepare for their inaugural season.”
Bombers Director of Hockey Operations (and avid golfer), Austen Hoey said, “Our goal is to create a fun event to benefit our golfers, sponsors and the Bombers Jr ‘A’ Hockey Club. It’s a win, win, win situation, if you will.”
According to a press release issued by the Sioux Lookout Bombers, “The day will also include contests for longest drives, hole-in-ones and more. Each hole will also have a fun activity, including a Marshmallow Drive, Ladder Golf and even PLINKO!”
The single day event will get underway with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
The deadline for teams to register is August 7th, or until the 22 team limit is reached.
Proceeds from the day’s activities will support the Sioux Lookout Bombers, Sioux Lookout’s new Jr A Hockey team, as the team prepares to take to the ice in September 2022 in the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
