Discover cycling in Sioux Lookout!
Sioux Cycling is in full swing now that the province has moved to Stage 3. Running since mid-May with social distancing rules, the group has seen more than 25 cyclists throughout the summer. The cycling group, which relaunched this year, meets at the travel centre on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 P.M. and 8 A.M. on Saturday mornings. All social distancing is practised and riders are encouraged to stay home if they exhibit any signs of illness. Groups are separated if exceeding more than 10 riders, as per Ontario Cycling regulations.
Weekday rides are for beginners and intermediate riders (about 30km), and weekends are for those who want to go further (50-70km). Anyone is welcome to join any time.
This year, Sioux Cycling will be hosting three events in the 38th annual Blueberry Festival -- its regular weekly evening rides on Tuesday and Thursday, as well as hosting the Third Annual Ride to Hudson and Back on Saturday morning. All are welcome to participate.
