This past week, the 1st Sioux Lookout Beaver Scouts were fortunate enough to have Retired Captain Reg Drew take the time to visit us. We were very honoured to have him come in to help teach the children about Remembrance Day and the importance of such. He answered many, many questions and reminded us about just how lucky we are to be in an era that does not completely understand the effects of World War I and World War II. The children were very curious about his roles throughout his career and his medals that were on his uniform.
Mr. Drew, not only do we thank you for coming in to speak with the Beaver Scouts, but we wish to thank you for your many years of service. We are very grateful to be able to live in a safe country in which you have played a large role in creating.
Lest we forget.
