Sioux Lookout Co-ed Volleyball League winding up its season
Monday, April 4th was the first night of playoffs at the Rec Centre with great action on the court. The first game of the night had teams “That’s What She Set” falling to “How I Set Your Mother”, (8-25 and 7-25). The second game was a close one going three sets with “The Red Menace” defeating “The Foodies”, (20-25, 25-12 and 15-9).
The second round of games on Monday night had Game 1 winners “How I Set Your Mother” play “Stacked Pelicans”, who were the First Place team coming out of the season. This was an exciting game to watch with lots of big hits coming from both sides. “How I Set Your Mother” took the first set 24-25 but the “Stacked Pelicans” came back and took the next two sets 25-11 and 15-11 for a thrilling game.
“Stacked Pelicans” continued their playoff run on Monday, April 11th.
The final game of the night had early winners “The Red Menace” play “The Misfits”, who were the Second Place team coming out of the season. “The Misfits” started strong with a 25-8 win in the first set. The second set saw “The Red Menace” push back strong, but in the end “The Misfits” took the win with a 25-15 victory.
“The Misfits” continue their playoff run on Monday, April 25th.
A huge thank you to “That’s What She Set”, “The Foodies”, “The Red Menace” and “How I Set Your Mother” for a great season!
On Monday, April 11th the playoffs continued with “The Duck Empire” taking on “The Super Smash Bros” in Game 5 of the playoffs and “The High Fives” playing “Kiss My Ace” in game 6.
“Stacked Pelicans” will play the winner of Game 5 and “The Misfits” will play the winner of Game 6 for entry into the finals. All games take place at the Rec Centre starting at 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend and cheer on the teams. The final night of playoffs will be on Monday, April 25th.
