Bearskin Airlines 11th Annual Skip to Equip Classic
In ten years, your generous donations, sponsorship and support of our Skip to Equip fundraising event has contributed to localized quality health services in our community, raising over $685,000. These funds have been put toward the Diagnostic Imaging Department in the areas of mammography, ultrasound; an operating room C-Arm, a dedicated ultrasound for the Emergency room, and long-term care. Specialized equipment and technology updates are always required to continue the momentum of providing more comprehensive healthcare in Sioux Lookout. This year’s proceeds will fund laboratory equipment.
The 11th Annual Bearskin Airlines Skip to Equip Classic is being held at the Sioux Lookout Golf & Curling Club, November 11 to 13. We will be hosting 24 or more ladies’ teams from Sioux Lookout and neighbouring Northwestern Ontario communities. The weekend will involve each team curling five games in a non-competitive format. Registration fees are $85 per curler and all curlers must come with a minimum of $125 in pledges.
We are inviting curlers and non-curlers, family and friends to register a team and help us put the fun into FUNdraising with the Saturday night costume theme - Favorite Drink.
How can you be a part of the Bearskin Airlines 11th Annual Skip to Equip Classic ladies’ curling fundraising event? Register a team and participate by collecting pledges, pledge a curler - a family member, co-worker, friend (tax receipt provided); make a donation for the auction table or become a sponsor of the event with advertising recognition. We have set our goals high knowing the community will recognize the significant benefits of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment at our Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre.
For further information about the event, contact Kelli at 737-9433, Marlene at 738-3611; or to register a team contact Muriel at 737-8982 or email at: [email protected]. First 24 paid teams accepted with registration deadline of October 15th.
