The second is the intersection of First Avenue and Fair Street. Northbound and southbound traffic on First Avenue will no longer be required to stop after March 8.
The Municipality of Sioux Lookout explained on their website, “Through a recommendation brought forward from Public Works, council has approved to remove a number of unwarranted all-way stop control intersections throughout Sioux Lookout.
“This will be completed in a phased approach, removing stop signs at a couple of intersections at a time. The decision to remove all-way stop control at specific intersections was based on guidance from the Ministry of Transportation Highway Traffic Manual, and in accordance with local traffic movement and maintenance requirements.”
