Obituary - Dylan Michael Steven Blackett
September 23, 2018 - September 27, 2005
It is with great sadness, the Trout family of Dylan Michael Steven Blackett, announces his passing into the Spirit World on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Dylan was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario on September 27, 2005. He attended St. Mary School in Whitecourt, Alberta from Kindergarten to grade 3. He attended grades 4-5 at Ecole St. Joseph School. He lived in Whitecourt until he was 9 years old when he moved with his father, Ryan Blackett to Bathurst, New Brunswick. Dylan attended schools at Terry Fox Elementary and Superior Middle School where he was currently enrolled in grade 8.
Dylan is a member of Lac Seul First Nation and is survived by his mother, Tamara Trout and his younger sister, Mia Wiklund. Dylan leaves his maternal Kokum, Joy Trout; his Uncles, Darrin (Charlotte), Hughie Jr, Conrad (Chasity), Tyrone Trout-Nelson; his Aunties, Bertha, Carrie, Minah (Greg). Dylan also leaves behind his Davis family, Michael and Cathy, Fay Zoccole (Owen), Jennifer and Greg (Sylvia). Dylan leaves behind many cousins and extended family in Ontario.
Dylan is also survived by his father, Ryan Blackett (Christy Hive-Blackett) and younger sister, Mackenzie. He leaves behind his paternal grand parents Lawrence and Pauline Blackett of Bathurst, New Brunswick; his Aunts, Christine Stavert (John) and Shelley and three cousins.
Young Dylan is predeceased by his Shoomis, Hughes Trout, his cousins Dakota Trout, Zachary Bottle, Laura Quoquat, and Kelly Quoquat.
Dylan was member of the Red Sox baseball team. He loved being part of the team and was proud to wear number 9.
Dylan had a passion for art. He loved to draw landscapes and anime such as Pokemon. He liked to give his teachers his drawings. He drew cartoon characters and was beginning to master still life and portraits.
Dylan was interested in video games like Fortnite, Minecraft and Call of Duty.
Dylan was a friend to many. His school friends meant a lot to him and he cared for them deeply. He touched many lives with his kind nature. He will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held in Ontario where Dylan’s life will be celebrated and honoured.
