November 27, 1937 - March 31, 2018
Kathleen I. MacMillan (Kay) nee Moroz, passed away at 80 years of age on March 31 at the Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout Ontario.
Kay is sadly missed by her partner Douglas, son Farley Lane of Houston Texas and daughter Christina Buzzi of Thunder Bay and son Thomas of Sioux Lookout.
Kay started her Banking career in Thunder Bay in the early 1970’s with most of her time spent at BMO in the Northwood Plaza. In 1978 she moved to Dryden and from there to Sioux Lookout, where she was married to Douglas in 1979. With Kay’s son Farley and Doug’s daughter Christina and son Thomas, they formed a new and lasting family unit which produced six wonderful grandchildren.
Kay went on to become Branch Manager at BMO until forced to long term disability due to serious back problems.
Kay was extremely devoted to her brothers and sisters of the Moroz family. She was a central part of all their lives and a great uniter. She is survived by her brother Rick/Darla Moroz of Vancouver, older brother Edward of Trenton Ontario and younger sister Janice Moroz of Thunder Bay; all of whom will miss her dearly.
Special regards to Vera Hansen and Irene and Harold Sitch, who were life long friends of Kay from her first marriage.
Kay was sadly predeceased by her brother David, sister Josephine, brother Joseph, sister Agnes, sister Barb Warwick (her best friend) and her older sister Mary, who also passed recently.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. In keeping with Kay’s wishes, there will be no service. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society through the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home, Box 1449, Sioux Lookout Ontario P8T 1B9.
Kay will be forever missed by all of her family members, especially so by Farley and Doug, the loves of her life.
A shining light to all and a real lady, we will not soon see another with the fine qualities of Kay and her unending dedication to family. A life well lived. Rest in peace sweet girl.
