Letter to the Editor:
Gail Roy’s carnations
The Hospital Auxiliary of Meno-ya-win Health Centre would like to thank the residents of Sioux Lookout for their generous support of our last carnation sale for Mother’s Day. The carnations were out in baskets at several locations in town on Friday, May 11.
There were many volunteers who are not members of the auxiliary who helped us with this fund raising effort. We want to thank them for assisting us to raise money for patient care. All money raised is used right here in Sioux Lookout to make a difference in our own hospital.
This year we are planting a rose bush in the Memory Garden to honour our past chairperson, Gail Roy. It was Gail who got the carnations ready for this sale. So if you purchased a flower this year, it was most likely prepared by Gail. She worked hard on this event and was proud to be a part of our auxiliary.
Thanks again for your support this year and in years past.
On behalf of the hospital auxiliary,
