A reflection on spring in October
What a great magical day!
Here's sunrise at about 7:30 this morning and a picture of my Pelican Belle. We had nearly a foot of snow on the ground that had accumulated during the past week.
At mid-morning I packed a load of firewood aboard the Belle and set out over the waves for a quick trip to camp.
The dogs and I were so enchanted with the warmth and melting snow that we "rested" for almost two hours, watched birds at the feeder wading in the melting snow to snap their seeds, and lazed in a day we won't see again until April.
At mid-afternoon under a sunny sky with temperature at 13 degrees, snow is melting quicker than ice cream in July.
