Letter to the Editor:
Elder care
Hurrah for Dianna Ayotte! Her letter hit the spot and everybody should pay attention to it.
Bill George was a good man, but he was not a prophet, to know our northern native neighbors would need elder care too. I know, since I am a patient, that the nurses are run off their feet, giving us as wonderful care as they can manage.
Thanks Dianna, and listen up, people!

P.S. I am 86 ½ years old and have smoked for 63 years. I’ve tried everything to stop. Now I’m paying the price with lung cancer. It seems to be a cruel punishment not to have a small smoking space for long-term or terminal patients. They treat drug addicts with more kindness and compassion.
