Family Day fun at Cedar Bay!

Cedar Bay was a popular place on Family Day, February 19.
Pony rides, snowshoeing, and a bonfire were all available to enjoy courtesy of the Friends of Cedar Bay.
Cedar Bay Trail Co. offered visitors a chance to give fat biking a try at the Cozy Cabin, located at the Cedar Bay lakeshore.
“It’s a great day. We’ve had a wiener roast, marshmallow roast, sliding… It’s been good,” shared Friends of Cedar Bay chair Joyce Timpson.
Nancy McCord is the ASSE – International Student Exchange Programs area coordinator.
She and her family brought two exchange students attending school in Ignace to town over the long weekend.
Gabriele Santona from Italy and Nick Chang from South Korea took part in the Family Day activities and went for dog sled rides with Jesse Terry on February 17.
“They loved it,” McCord said. “They were blown away by how warm and welcoming Sioux Lookout is.”
