A bit of Sioux Lookout history, with a mystery
My mother-in-law, Betty Wilkins, owned three small paintings by P W Shannon. Two are 5x7 and the other is 10x8. I believe that she purchased these from Mervyn’s when the hairdressing shop was on Front Street near the corner of Fifth.
I wonder if anyone knows more about the artist? What I remember is that the artist might have been a summer resident from the Winnipeg area. The nature scenes are done in greens, browns and greys.
