COMMUNITY CORNER:
An Update from Your Public Library
The Sioux Lookout Public Library Board declared an amnesty period for the entire month of April 2021. Any library material brought back to the library during this time will be cleared of all late fees and replacement charges. We kindly ask that you place your books, DVDs, and magazines (and other material) in the book drop outside our front entrance.
We are hoping to clean the slate and spring forward into 2021. The library is stocked with hundreds of new titles including award-winning novels, acclaimed TV shows, inspiring documentaries, and the next generation of children’s authors. We are committed to keeping you reading in the safest way possible while you stay at home.
You can arrange for a pick-up time to check-out material from the public library. There are two ways to make this happen. 1) Visit our online catalog (slpl.on.ca/search) and place holds on material. 2) Contact the library for assistance with finding what you need. Our staff will look through the collection and provide you with options.
Visit the library’s YouTube channel to see a video on using the online catalog to place holds: youtube.com/SLPublicLibrary. Please contact the library today for help with using the catalog or signing up for a card. We can be reached at 1-807-737-3660, [email protected], or on Facebook messenger.
