Cub Scouts wrap up for another year
We were unsure of how the year would go with double the registration numbers this year for Cub Scouts, but, we are happy to report that this was our best year yet! With 16 youth between the ages of 8-10 years old in the program, we had the opportunity to do many fun activities. The youth worked on their knife permits, went ice fishing, dog sled rides, made their own bows and arrows, raced Kub Kars and went camping! We ended off the year by learning about float planes, making our own paper airplanes, and then finally a scenic tour of Sioux Lookout with our very own Akela (Matt McClelland) as the pilot! A huge thank you to Slate Falls Airways for donating this to our pack! We wish to thank all of our volunteers and sponsors for helping to make this year a huge success! Your generosity was appreciated by all of us!
We hope everyone has a great summer and look forward to seeing you in the fall. If you want to join in on the fun, please go to www.scouts.ca for more information.
