An evening of classical music with Sarah Hagen
Tim Brody - Editor
Pianist Sarah Hagen brought an evening of classical music to town last Saturday evening as the third performance of the season in the Sioux-Hudson Entertainment Series.
Hagen’s bird inspired programme included works by such composers as Jean-Philippe Rameau, Robert Schumann, Franz Liszt and Amy Beach.
Hagen charmed a full house at St. Andrew’s United Church with her music and brought out more than a few chuckles with her easy-going, friendly manner.
Ontario Contact’s 2017 Artist of the Year, Hagen has toured across Canada and has performed internationally in Sweden, France, Germany, Italy, as well as twice to New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
The next show of the season in the Sioux-Hudson Entertainment Series will be Raine Hamilton on November 24.
