A frightening fundraiser
The Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre kicked off their Christmas Hamper Drive with their “spooktacular” haunted house on Oct. 26. Each non-perishable food item gave visitors a ticket to walk through the haunted house at the Friendship Centre. There were also Halloween crafts and a movie for kids.
Ashely Edwards shared on the NGFC Facebook page, “Huge thanks to our community and all our awesome student volunteers for supporting the haunted house festivities tonight. The non-perishable goods and money raised is the most amazing start to our Christmas hamper drive. Hope everyone had a great night and team NGFC looks forward to scaring you again next year!”
